The Windows Vista information contained here is intended for Penn State faculty, staff and students only. In accordance with Microsoft's Pre-release Software License Terms you may not disclose the information provided here to any third party without Microsoft's prior written approval. Currently only Penn State faculty and staff can view this information.

Microsoft announced that Windows Vista will be available to Enterprise Customers some time in Novemenber 2006, and that we will be able to purchase computers with Windows Vista pre-installed as early as January 2007. ITS formed a Windows Vista Task Force in March 2006 to test the early releases of Windows Vista, to assess how the system works, to evaluate what hardware is needed, and to determine possible challenges for adoption at Penn State. This article is the compilation of those results.
