Definition of a user managed group (UMG)
A user managed group (UMG) allows you to create a group of users (via Penn State Access Account user IDs) and then use the UMG to restrict access to only those names for the following services:

- Personal Web space including Protected Personal space
- Any other folders stored in PASS related to other ITS Account Services
- A variety of services that leverage PASS
- Anything else that currently leverages Access Accounts via the Enterprise Directory
