Once a SSH client is installed open the file transfer window and start a connection, the server to connect to is sftp.pass.psu.edu and you will use your userid and password for your Penn State Access Account to log in.Once you have connected you will see files on your computer on one side of the window and your PASS space on the other. Files you wish to place into your web space will need to go into the "www" folder while files to share using the Access Control Manager will need to go into your "www_protected" folder. Items can be clicked and dragged from your computer to the PASS server in this window. There is also an upload button that will upload any selected files from your machine to the directory you are currently viewing on the PASS server.
SSH connection to sftp.pass.psu.edu
Password entry, comes up after the connection screen
Due to the PASS update we have had our key change, you may see a warning like this due to the key change. The new correct hashes for the keys are "xumem-pibef-regys-synuk-secav-dutev-hyryr-hezor-dafog-hutut-ruxux" or "15:68:1c:a1:99:ae:29:10:64:39:a7:4f:5a:17:7d:49" depending on what way your SSH client uses to display public key information. If you see these hashes then you know it is safe to accept the connection. If you do not see one of these hashes check to make sure you are connecting to the right server.
Now connected to sftp.pass.psu.edu
You may now navigate around both sides of the screen to locate the files you wish to upload and the location you wish to upload them to. Once you have the files to upload selected and the right side window to the correct location you may click and drag the files over or press the button of an arrow pointing up in the first row of buttons to upload your files.
