Creating an X-PSU-Spam-Flag Filter in Outlook 2007
Instructions for configuring the Penn State X-PSU-Spam-Flag filter in Outlook 2007.
- Start Outlook 2007.
- On the Outlook Tools menu, click Rules and Alerts.
- Click New Rule to bring up the Rules Wizard.
- Select Check Messages when they arrive under Start from a blank rule.
- Click Next.
- Place a check mark in the with specific words in the message header box.
- In the Step1: Select Condition(s) area, check mark the box next to with specific words in the message header.
- In the Step 2: Edit the rule description area, click the underlined word specific words.
- Type in X-PSU-Spam-Flag: YES.
- Click Add
- Now click OK.
- Click Next.
- In the Step1: Select action(s) area, check mark the box next to move it to the specified folder.
- In the Step2: Edit the rule description area, click the underlined word specified.
- Select the Junk folder if there is already one.
Note: If there is no Junk filter, please do the following:- Select Personal Folders
- Click New.
- Under Name type Junk Email
- Click OK
- Next, click the Junk Email folder you just created
- Click OK.
- Click Next
- Click Next.
- In Specify a name for this rule, type PSU Spam flag.
- Click Finish.
- Click OK to exit the Tools option.
