How do I capture the screen on a Mac so that I may print it or save it as an image?

For systems 8 and 9, hold down Apple+shift+3 to capture whole screen. Apple+shift+4 captures a rectangular section of the screen that is defined by user (after key combination, click and drag to make selection). Apple+shift+4+capslock creates a picture of a window (after the key combination click on window to capture it).
