Configuring Mail on Mac OS X for the Penn State LDAP Directory

Instructions for configuring Mail on Mac OS X for Penn State's LDAP directory.
  1. Click Preferences.
  2. Click Composing.
  3. Click Edit Server List.
  4. Click Add Server.
  5. Double-click Service Name.
  6. Add a name of your choosing (e.g. PSU LDAP)
  7. Tab to Hostname.
  8. Enter ldap.psu.edu for the hostname.
  9. Tab to Search Base.
  10. Enter dc=psu,dc=edu for the search base.
    Note:  Port number: 389 (this number is usually set by default).
  11. Click Close.
