Penn State Jabber Client

Jabber is a service that allows for real-time communication via XMPP protocol. All that is needed to use Jabber is a Penn State Access Account and a local chat client configured to support Jabber.

Penn State’s Jabber service allows people with a valid Penn State Access Account to activate their own Jabber account. Their Jabber screen name is their Access Account user ID@chat.psu.edu. (e.g., "xyz123@chat.psu.edu"), and their password is their Penn State Access Account password. Penn State Jabber accounts do not support a second or separate password. To change their Jabber account password, users must change their Penn State Access Account password. This can be done at work.psu.edu
