All messages in Eudora in-box were deleted

The Eudora inbox may be corrupted, due to too many messages, which led it to create a new table of contents. Follow the instructions on this page -

To prevent this from occurring in future move old messages you want to keep to other mail folders rather than letting your inbox get too big.
