I do not receive email sent to Angel in Webmail
Angel is different from your PSU email. However you can set Angel to forward a copy of the message that you receive in Angel to PSU email.
ANGEL provides the option to forward a copy of ANGEL course mail to an external e-mail address. If you forward your course mail, a copy of each message still remains in ANGEL. While it is possible to send mail outside the ANGEL system, it is impossible to mail from the outside back into ANGEL. Thus, if you forward your course mail to an outside service such as psu.edu or hotmail.com, you must still log on to ANGEL, enter your course, and respond to all course mail there.
It is recommended that you not forward your ANGEL course mail to an outside service.
However, to do so:
- Login to Angel ( https://cms.psu.edu )
- Go to the "My Profile" page.
- Select the "My Settings" link either under the "My Toolbox" subheading or in the left frame (frames version).
- Select the "System Settings" link.
- Locate the "Mail Settings" section of the screen.
- Type a valid e-mail address in the "Forwarding Address" text box.
- From the "Forwarding Mode" pull-down menu, select "Forward my course mail and keep as new in course."
- Click the "Save" button.
Note: When an instructor sends a course mail message, he/she can select the option "send a copy of this message to recipients' Internet e-mail accounts." If the instructor selects this option, the message will go to your psu.edu account, no matter what you have set as a forwarding e-mail address. However, if you have specified another address to forward your e-mail to (like a hotmail account), it will also go there.
