Configuring Windows Mail in Vista

This is what you need to do to configure Windows mail in Vista.
1) Select the Windows mail.
2) Click Next.
3) Enter your name on the Display Name field.
4) Click Next.
5) Enter your E-mail Address in the box provided.
6) Click Next.
7) Incoming mail server type is POP3
8) Incoming mail server is email.psu.edu
9) Outgoing mail server is smtp.psu.edu
Note: Make sure that you do not check Outgoing server requires authentication.
10) Click Next.
11) Enter your user ID, such as xyz123
Note: You can also enter your password (optional)
12) Click Next.
13) Click Finish.
14) Next, go to the Tools menu.
15) Select Accounts...
16) Select your new email account.
17) Click on Properties.
18) Go to the Advanced tab.
19) Under Incoming Server, check the box for This server requires a secure connection (SSL).
20) Click Apply.
21) Next, click OK.
