Block IE7
Microsoft has announced that it will automatically begin pushing Internet Explorer 7 to Windows XP computers as a critical update beginning October 31. Although it will be downloaded automatically if you have automatic updates turned on, it will not install automatically. Once IE 7 has been downloaded, you will have the opportunity to install it or not.
After IE 7 has been installed, you can uninstall it by using the Add/Remove programs tool in the control panel. (This will revert back to IE 6, it will not simply delete IE 7.)
System administrators can block the automatic download of IE 7 by using a tool from Microsoft's website: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=4516A6F7-5D44-482B-9DBD-869B4A90159C&displaylang=en.
