The bulk enrollment tool to populate Manually Enrolled Courses with students is now available for use in Canvas courses. A Manually Enrolled Course is a non-credit bearing course that has student enrollments but is not an official LionPATH course.
To take advantage of the bulk enrollment tool, faculty and staff can submit a request. To submit a request:
1. Select the Help button within Canvas.
2. Select “Report a problem” to send a message to Canvas. The request will first go to Instructure, then be forwarded to Penn State support. The faculty member will then be contacted to submit a CSV file with student IDs for the bulk enrollment process. Faculty may also send the list of student IDs with one userID per line.
Turnaround time will be approximately two business days. This will save users time by not having to enroll each student individually. Requested enrollments can only be added to the roster with the role of “student.” Faculty and staff who want to enroll other user types, e.g. faculty and teaching assistants, will need to continue to do that manually.
