Outlook 2013 and UCS

It is necessary to reinstall the Zimbra Connector for Outlook after you upgrade to Outlook 2013.

The search functionality of Outlook is not currently supported. The workaround for Outlook searching is to turn off indexing of Outlook in Windows.

To turn off indexing of Outlook do the following:

  1. In Outlook go to File
  2. Select Options
  3. Select Search
  4. Select the Indexing Options button
  5. Select Modify
  6. Uncheck Microsoft Office Outlook (This option may not be present. If that is the case move onto the next step)
  7. Uncheck Microsoft Outlook
  8. Click OK
  9. Click Close
  10. Click OK
  11. Wait while Windows reindexes. After some time the search function will work in Outlook
