In the following table, is a list of certificate types that will be available from the beginning. This list will be updated if more types become available.
|SSL Certificate||Secures a single domain. This will be the default and the most common.|
|Wildcard SSL Certificate||Secures domain and unlimited sub-domains of that domain. Warning: If a server with a wildcard certificate installed is compromised, you have to replace the private key and certificate on all the servers. Also please note this type is not supported by Penn State WebAccess.|
|Multi-Domain SSL Certificate||Secure multiple Fully Qualified domains on a single certificate. Similar to the wildcard certificate, however all the names don't have to be in the same sub-domain. This is sometimes refered to as a "SAN" certificate. Also please note this type is not supported by Penn State WebAccess.|
|InCommon UCC Multi-Domain SSL||Secure multiple Fully Qualified domains on a single certificate. Specifically designed for use with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office Communications servers. Also please note this type is not supported by Penn State WebAccess.|
