Editorial Approval Process

Step-by-step instructions for editorial approval of an article for the ITS Knowledge Base.
To editorially approve an article:
- Log in using your Penn State access account user id and password.
- Submitted articles will appear in the right column under Review List.
- Click on the article you wish to review.
- Review the article for content and standards adherence.
- If the article is not acceptable:
- Click on Advanced.
- Scroll down to the Comments and enter your reasons for rejecting the article.
- Scroll down to the Change State area and select Reject.
Note: When the author has made the changes, he will need to re-submit the article and it will then re-appear in the review list.
- If the article is acceptable, continue with the next step.
- Click the Properties tab.
- Verify/select keywords that are appropriate for the article.
- Click the Save button.
- Submit the article:
- Click the drop-down arrow next to State and select submit.
- The article will go to the local IT Manager for final approval and publication.
