Logging in as a Contributor for the First Time

Step by step instructions for Knowledge Base contributors who are logging in to the system for the first time.
Log in using your Penn State access account user id and password.
The first time you log in as a contributor you should do the following:
- Click on the My Preferences link on the right-hand side of the personal toolbar.
- Click Personal Preferences.
- Enter your full name.
- Enter your email address.
- Select FCKeditor from the Content Editor drop-down.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
- Click on the My Preferences link on the right-hand side of the toolbar again.
- Click FCK Editor User Preferences.
- You can choose an editor look (called a skin) by clicking the radio button next to one of them.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the window.
- Click Home in the breadcrumbs area of the toolbar.
- Your preferences have now been set up and you are ready to add or edit an article.
- Choose your designated content folder from the list in the left column.
- You are now ready to add content to the ITS Knowledge Base.
