Approving an ITS Knowledge Base Article

Step by step instructions for approving an article in the ITS Knowledge Base (For IT Managers).

To approve an article:

  1. Log in using your Penn State access account user id and password.
  2. Submitted articles will appear in the left column under Review List.
  3. Click on the article you wish to review.
  4. Review the article for content and standards adherence. (Note: please ensure that University Editor has approved the document.)
  5. If the article is not acceptable:
    1. Click the drop-down arrow for the State and select Reject.
    2. Inform the author of needed changes.
  6. Note:  When the author has made the changes, he will need to re-submit the article and it will then re-appear in the review list.
  7. If the article is acceptable,
    1. click the drop-down arrow for the State and select Publish.
    2. Inform the author that his article has been published.
