My Notes for Students

The My Notes feature allows you to take notes right within an ANGEL course or group. You may use My Notes to remind yourself of important points within lessons, to note questions you wish to ask, or to draft outlines of assignments, among other purposes. If you are logged on to ANGEL during class meetings, you can take lecture notes within the ANGEL course.

Access My Notes

To access My Notes from within a course:

  1. Select the Lessons tab.
  2. Select the My Notes link in the toolbar.

A separate My Notes window will open.

Add a New Note

Once you have accessed My Notes, you can add a new note, as follows:

  1. Within the My Notes window, select the New Note link in the toolbar.

    Select the New Note link.

  2. From the Section pull-down list, select the name of the course for which you are adding a note. By default, the course you are currently in is selected.
  3. In the Title field, enter a title for the note. Choose a title that you will easily recognize later. You may find it helpful to include the date within the title.
  4. In the Note field, enter the body of the note.

    Note: If you wish to add formatting to the note, use the HTML editor toolbar.

    Enter the title and body of the note in the Note Editor.

  5. Click the Save button.

You will then see an updated list of all notes in the course.

View Existing Notes

To view existing notes:

  1. Select the check box next to each note you wish to view. To view all notes, click the Select All button.
  2. Click the View button.

    Select notes, then click View.

  3. If desired, click the Print Page button to print the selected note(s).
  4. To return to the listing of all notes in the course, click the Notes Menu button.

Edit an Existing Note

To edit an existing note:

  1. Click the Edit button to the left of the note you wish to edit.

    Click the Edit button to the left of the note.

  2. Make the desired text changes.
  3. Click the Save button.

Delete Existing Notes

To delete one or more existing notes:

  1. Select the check box next to each note you wish to delete. To delete all notes, click the Select All button.

    Note: If you have second thoughts about which notes you have selected for deletion, you can click the Unselect All button.

  2. Click the Delete button.
  3. A pop-up message will ask whether you are sure you wish to perform the deletion. If you wish to delete the note(s), click OK.
  4. A confirmation message will display. Click OK.

You will then see an updated list of all notes in the course.
