UCS Setup: Android 2.3 - Corporate Sync

These instructions will help setup UCS on an Android device running operating system 2.3.  This will sync Email, Calendar, and Contacts to the Android device.
  1. Navigate to Menu -> Settings -> Accounts
  2. Click ADD ACCOUNT
  4. Email Address: (Ex. xyz5000@psu.edu)
  5. Password:  Access Password
  6. Domain:  ucs.psu.edu
  7. Username:  Access Username (ie. xyz5000)
  8. Click NEXT
  9. Server:  ucs.psu.edu 
  10. Check Use Secure Connection
  11. Click NEXT
  12. Click DONE

You will now be able to access email through the Email application, the contacts will be added to the device Contacts, and the calendar will be added to the Calendar application.  All three can be toggled on or off within each application as the user desires.

Additionally, the user can unsync any one of the three features entirely, by doing the following:

  1. Click the menu button
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Accounts
  4. Select the Corporate Sync account you created above
  5. Uncheck any of the three features you don't wish to sync
  6. Click OK
