UCS: Setting up Existing UMG's in UCS

This is intended to help you create UCS Groups from an existing User Managed Group (UMG).


Prerequisites:

  • Make sure your UCS account is active by logging into the UCS Web Client, <https://ucs.psu.edu>.
  • Be an administrator of an existing UMG

Directions:

  1. Go to https://umg.its.psu.edu/listgroups.cgi
  2. Click on the UMG you wish to be linked to UCS
  3. Click the Modify Membership or Features button
  4. Check the checkbox next to the text, "Enable group in UCS [Beta]"
  5. This UMG should be searchable in UCS when group scheduling, calendar, e-mail, and briefcase sharing.
