Connecting to File Storage Space at Penn State

Every student, staff, and faculty member has Penn State Access Account Storage Space (PASS) that provides universally-accessible disk space/file storage space for use by anyone with a Penn State user ID.  Upon receipt of a Penn State Access Account, all Penn State students, faculty, and staff are initially allocated 500 MB of online storage space. Users can increase their storage allocations to 10GB via the Penn State Access Account Storage Space (PASS) section of www.work.psu.edu.  Likewise, PASS is available for departmental and course use.  Additional space can be requested but there is a for fee this service.

Your PASS space is accessible via all ITS labs across campus. Lab locations and hours can be found at http://labconsulting.sas.psu.edu/what-we-provide. In addition you can use this utility, Map PSU Space, to access your PASS space from any location on any personal computer.  Download the Map PSU Space utility from https://downloads.its.psu.edu under the File Transfer section.

If you are not in an ITS lab, but are trying to connect to PASS from work or home these are your options:

  1. Map PSU Space utility
  2. Mounting PASS manually through your OS
